DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE
Department of Commerce have been imparting education to both Honours and General students. The department undertakes academic performance as well as extra curriculum activities in each academic year. Students learn different aspects in the field of Accounting, Business Management, Financial Management, Taxation and Financial Statement Analysis of Companies and make the student technologically sound in the field of Information Technology. We provide elementary concepts in the field of Business mathematics & statistics and its application in economics. The faculty members guide the students in preparing several research projects in different topics in commerce and provide them the knowledge in the area of e-filling of tax return.
Our aim is not only to emphasis the better performance of the students in academic results but also inspires them to reach their target and to meet intellectual and emotional needs. In the pandemic situation, Online Teaching- Learning Process and other online activities has been encouraged. Different workshops, seminar/ webinar at state, national & international level has been organized by the department jointly with IQAC. We encourage student’s participation in different activities like quiz, cultural program and other talent hunt program. Apart from this, the department also arranges the Open Book Examination every year and other awareness program from time to time. Special academic care is taken to address the needs of the physically-challenged students. We inculcate in them a spirit of resilience and self-reliance.
